No sir. '06-08 cloth were all exactly like the second picture I posted.
Of course, they could have put '02-05 seats in the '06 you drove.
You want comfortable, find yourself some of those 4th gen leather seats

The front seat is what I have most about my truck. They are horrible.

2006-2008 seats are all the same granted we are comparing bench-bench and bucket-bucket.
There are differences with bucket vs bench, but I believe the actual seats are the same with no width differences. Bucket with the center console seems to have less knee room when I sat in one due to the console being in the way. I like my bench style with the flip-up useable center jump seat.
I also believe 2009+ just have slight design changes with no actual size changes.
It's possible you have had more time to sit and experience the ride longer in your 2008 and din't notice the slight discomfort in the 2006? My 2008 seats are VERY firm.

Even though they mount to the floor the same, the seats from an 02 are 100% different than an 08.

I have some gray cloth 08 front and rear seats I was going to recover and install in my 02 (keep my stock leather/suede 02 seats in storage for safe keeping). But the two are 100% different. All the electronics use different connections, the seat frame work has been changed. Making the swap totally not worth doing (I'm not cutting my truck up to put new seats in it, besides my seats are near mint to begin with).

Now I have to sell these damn things, along with the door panels, sun visors, carpet, and dash from this 08. To much headache to swap this in to my 02. Besides my 02 is by far the higher end unit vs. these 08 parts I got.

Found these from a 2005. they look like the 05s posted earlier by BA. I don't have the exact measurements, but these seats just look as if they're designed differently and more conducive to my needs.

These are being sold for $750. The rear is available for $299. Not the color I'm looking for (I need the light gray ones if available), but what do you guys think about the prices?

Thoughts?

The seats you have are actually slightly narrower. They are the ST work truck seats which look very similar but are not the same as the SLT seats pictured here. The first place I'd look is craigslist. There is a rear set on eBay right now for $250 shipped and a front set on my local Craigslist for $450. The ones you are looking at above are actually for 2002-2005 Rams and may fit yours but will not match the interior correctly.

Frank, what year is the truck above? 2008?

Also, do you (or anyone) know if the 2005 cloth seats I posted are available in a lighter gray?

The year of the truck above is my 2007 1500. My 2006 2500 has the same seats. These are the factory seats for SLT models for 2006-2008 (2009 for 2500). For the 2002-2005 trucks they only came in taupe and agate gray I believe so no, they did not make a color that would match perfectly in that year range for your late model 3rd gen. What they call "Taupe" however is very close.

This is taupe in leather for 2002-2005
