Hi there, I'm new here, and just had a quick question. Sorry if this has been asked before or is a stupid question, but I really cant come across anything on it. I am really wonder, is or was there such a thing as a 2500 Mega Cab Hemi with the 6speed manual? I know they offered it in the regular 2500 rams, but I want to know if they did in the Mega Cabs, and I really have looked all over the place and can't find any thing on the subject. If anyone has anything to help answer my question, I'd really appreciate it.

According to all the info I can gather, the 2500 MegaCab is auto-only, regardless of engine. As seen here under "Powertrains and Performance".
This means the Hemi got the 5-45RFE 5spd and the Cummins got the new 68RFE 6spd.

My 2005 quad cab 2500 5.7 has a 6 spd not sure about the mega

 

MegaCabs with the Cummins engine can have 6spd.
MegaCabs with the Hemi do not offer 6spd

QuadCab 2500's with a Hemi can have 6spds.

I think option/availabiliy has to do with market trends and the purpose of buying a Megacab vs 2500 Quadcab. MC's are on 2500 frames but cannot haul as much as standard QC 2500's. Plus, MC's are meant for family travel rather than equip travel I am assuming?

 

Unfortunately Megacabs cant have a manual trans or transfercase due to the rear heat/ac duct running from the dash to the center console on the floor. It sucks but you gotta get some heat/air back there some how.
