hello having an issue with the 4x4 dash light on my 2003 dodge ram pick 1500. this car has shifter on the floor when the shifter is in the 2wd drive postion it says its in 4x4 and when it 4x4 it says 2wd. i tryed adjusting the bar underneeth but nothing

 

Sounds like it may be a defective position sensor in the transfer case.

 

Next time use the search mode as this repair has been detailed numerious times. The tread below has the shop manual description I posted previously.
