U joint replacement cost?
I tried a search, no luck.
My local shop (not the dealer) quoted me $190.00 for two new U-Joints installed on my 06' 4x4 1500. Their is a small amount of play, but nothing too bad. So it's not a rush.
Is that a fair price? Seems a bit high, but not sure how much is involved on these trucks.
Also, is it worth going with a greaseable version as a replacement? I just turned 101,000 miles and as i said, other then a bit of play when you twist the shaft back and forth, they are fine. Seems to me that if i got 100,000 miles on a non greaseable version that their is no real need to go with a greaseable version now. Thoughts?
