AWD to Manual transfer case
I would like to know if it is possible to swap out an AWD transfer case with a Manual one. I have a 2004 dodge ram 1500 Laramie edition and AWD sucks.
The dodge dealerships in my area have no idea what theyre talkin about.
Im more or less just wondering if it will bolt up to my tranny, as far as I know the tranny is the same (545rfe)
Thanks, Matt

Due to the complexity of the truck's electronics, I don't think it's possible.
The only complaints about the AWD models that we ever see here are those who are mad that they can't spin the tires to impress their friends. I mean really -- who ever says "This damn truck just will NOT lose control. I can pull out onto a wet road and stand on the throttle and it just goes. Why can't I sit and spin uselessly like everyone else?"

I dont want a Manual t-case to spin the tires, i want it so that i can run a lift on her. i hear mixed views on whether or not AWD trucks will accept a 6 inch lift. Just wondering if the bolt parttern between the tranny and t-case is the same. If it is im gonna give it a shot, abnd if it doesnt work ill just put the AWD back in.
Thanks
Thanks
