Slipping in reverse. Rear End? or Transmission?

I tried that, and felt they should turn easier. I also noticed when turning the wheels back and forth (change directions, forward then reverse) it was making a clunking noise that I could not pinpoint!

Do you have the limited slip rear end? If so, it could be one of the famous c clips.
