Torsion bar how-to video- maybe not
Found this video on YT. Aside from having an obvious over-active saliva gland, this doesn't seem to be a very scientific approach to doing this. No jackstands, no exact measurements, no mention of effect on shocks or needing an alignment afterwards. But, in general, I guess this is how it's done.

I've done a few for other guy's, three Z71s and two Rams and used jack stands every time, now I'm big at 6'3" and have been up to about 330 lbs (although thankfully I've got myself down to 250 now) and was a pretty big gym rat for a good 20 years and I wouldn't try to crank them with weight on the front tires.
Now as far as being an "exact science", it's not. I've had to crank one side damn near twice as much as the other in one case to get perfectly even. Also be prepared to lift it back up and tweak it after a couple of days of settling.
I didn't watch your vid (on my phone, which isn't a problem, but picked up a little much needed work today and it's bad enough I'm online on my phone, LOL) but shocks or at least relocation brackets should be done and an alignment is pretty important...

Yeh, Hammer, it's just not a very well done video. Through almost all of it, it looks like the guy is cranking the bolts with the front end on the ground. He's even using a cheater bar to get the bolts to turn. Towards the end he points out that you should jack up the front as he did, but I just see a jack, no stands. He breaks out a measuring tape at the end to show a before and after and seems to be okay that it's maybe a quarter inch off from one side to the other. Shocks and alignment are never mentioned. It's presented more like "how to level your truck for free" and just crank the bolts and drive it. Not to mention you have to put up with his spitting for no apparent reason several times through the course of the video. When you can't see him doing it, you can hear it.
You don't want to hear spitting, then don't take your truck down here with a case of beer in hand and expect this guy to help out with a project (as a good dozen or so members around here have). I'm addicted to Copenhagen, LOL...
It truly sucks to be working on your back or your side with a dip in.....
Easy now fellas, I'm a hopeless Cope addict as well. But I can make a 4 minute video to post for all the world to see without a wad between my lip and gum. I have, however, tried to wrench vehicles with a dose of "crack" in my mouth and it's not fun. But it didn't look or sound like "dip spits" to me - seemed more like just a tick/habit.
