Default Spotty rims on new 2005 RAM

My 2005 Reg Cab RAM is now 3 month old, and received its first full body wash yesterday (no comments, I'm not a truck wash addict ;-). I noticed that the stock rims (ST value group) have some spots that look like rust already, especially the front rims. I can't get it off with soap water, have not tried anything else yet. Also, it looks like they are normal steel rims, with some chrome covers.... anybody know what is going on here?

Thx, Tommy

Just use some chrome polish on a soft cloth. It is probably some residual brake dust that has collected and possibly temporarily stained it.

btw, brake dust it typically corrosive, hence, you might wish to flush it a little more frequently in the future if this bothers you.

All the best.
