Real quick, Kinda off topic but the same still. I pull a 6x12 vnose, with a dirtbike and some gear in her. Probably 3k lbs tops. Right now I have my SC tuned at 87 but with stock shift points and run 93 and pull in tow/haul mode. I find it pulls better than SC tow tune.

Ive been told not to tow in perf. 91 mode. My question is; is this because of shift points or fuel/ignition mapping? Because if it is just because of shift points and straining the tranny, couldnt I run her in perf. mode with stock shift points while in tow/haul? Just curious.

SC says its because of the amount of timing advance, will cause pinging. still trying to figure what the deal is with no H.P. gain with the tow tune. I asked SC the same question about towing with the performance tune, that was the answer they gave me.
