Nothings really bad compared to OEM in my opinion. Even if they suck for the price you're basically getting the shocks for free almost. Check out Hammer's thread in the FAQ section for lift shocks
I think the OEM shocks are junk, they blow out long before a good set would. Aftermarket shocks will give you a better ride although I do not know what shocks are included with that kit. They look Tenneco made to me which makes alot of different companies shocks.
Went with a Hell Bent Steel 2" leveling kit a while back on my 2008 2500. After it settled out, it sits slightly lower than level in the fron. Probably a good idea to go with the 2.5" kit on the diesels for true level. HBS was the cheapest I could find.
Also ran into the factory shocks running out of travel and bouncing out of control when hitting a bump at highway speeds even though some places say the factory shocks will work. Upgraded to extended length procomps. Still get the front wheels trying to bouncing once in a while when I hit a big bump at 60mph or more. Might go with a dual shock setup. I think my 315s are a little too big for the shocks and front suspension to control.
Just a few things I thought I would pass on from my experience.

Thanks travisfimple i think i would be alright with the 2" .. do u think replacing the front shocks would soften the ride a little bit cause its really really stiff now and much stiffer on the rear
Well the shocks aren't what is stiff, its your spring because you have a 3500. Travis it sounds like the shocks aren't your problem, sounds like a classic case of " Death Wobble " and it won't matter how many shocks you add, its not going to help it. Use the search engine and find a better cure for your problem.
I will agree, it's a small case of the death wobble. New shocks almost eliminated it. I am going to crank up the trac bars a little for more positive castor and see if that helps. Might even try the upgraded steering linkage kit in the near future that is supposed to fix it. Looks a lot better and stronger setup. Mopar PN: 52122362AF
As for the shocks, I went with Explorer ProComp ES9000 shocks that are extended length for the 2" level kits. They are more responsive than the factory shocks were but about the same ride comfort. I would have went with Bilstein 5100 shocks but they were a little too expensive but great shocks. You are pretty much stuck with a stiff ride unless you take out a leaf or two in the rear and add air bags.
Leveling kit looks bad *** on the HDs. Got some pics in my profile. Started out a little front end high but the springs soon settled in and is slightly lower in the front than the rear so don't get frustrated if it sits high at first. Maybe 1/4" or so.
