A while back my superchips got stolen but now about to get a custom tune. What can I do to get rid of the current superchips program off the truck to get it back to stock? I'm trying not to have to take it to the dealership.

 

Reflash back to stock at Dealership would be the best option. Maybe buy a PCM online and then do a VIN swap but prob' be a little more $$$.

 

Short of having that tuner, only way I know is a trip to the dealer to get them to hook up the good old StarScan tool and reflash it. Of course if whoever is doing the custom tune is good, he can overwrite the existing tune without backing it up but if he boo boo's the custom tune you have nothing to go back to...

 

Side question, did ou ever call SC and report the S/N of the tuner as stolen?

Because yours was married to the truck, IF someone ever did decide to use it they would have to call SC and pay to get it unlocked but having the S/N reported could help both you and the other person assuming the other person bought it stolen and didnt actually steal it
