Default Windshield Wipers do not work

I have a 2006 Ram 1500 sport. The windshield wipers only work sometimes. I will turn the *** and nothing will happen...but if I leave the *** turned sometimes they will begin working after 5 minutes or so.
Then other times I will turn the *** and they work fine.

One strange thing is that when I use the windshield washer the wipers work fine. (3 wipes as normal)

Anyone know what might be causing this?

Sounds like your multi-function switch might be on it's way out. Chrysler just issued an extended replacement policy for that part. Up to 150,000 miles. You should have recieved a letter in the mail.
