Was wondering how much i could add HP/Trq to my 04 Dodge Ram Laramie 1500 5.7l Hemi Magnum. Was thinking of adding exhaust system (headers cat exhaust) CAI and Diablo SP. Just wondering how much my baby can take before she breaks. Before i have to adjust to compensate for addition power.

You should be fine adding all that. A lot of guys on here run CAI, exhaust system, longtube headers and a tuner. You'll add HP and Trq but not enough to worry about your tranmission and what not. You really only have to worry about about all that when adding a turbo or supercharger.

The '03 and very early '04s are notorious for breaking valve springs, so much so that Chrysler went to much thicker, stronger springs early in '04 model production. You may want to check your production date to see which springs you have. I'm told anything built after Nov. '03 had the stronger springs. You'll probably be fine with the CAI, a cat back and the tuner but once you start getting into headers I'd have those springs replaced if you've got the older style.

Once you do that, or determine you have the newer springs then you're pretty safe to add any bolt-on power adder and really can get up into the 425 HP range (at the crank) before you have to worry about bolstering up the transmission or any thing else to handle it.

If you're gonna have to get the valve springs, get the Mopar 6.1 Hemi springs, same cost as the 5.7 ones and although the newer 5.7 ones are fine, the 6.1s are stronger yet and will handle a stronger cam if you ever want to take it that far...

Oh ok thanks a bunch FYI its 2wh not 4x4 idk if that is taken into consideration. I guess if i was to ask questions about Headers long or short and Super/Turbo chargers that would be an entirely new thread. So im looking at around 425. Ill check my make year date for that two. Don't want to break her down first year i got her haha.
