Default Weird overheating problem?

I have an '02 that has a weird overheating problem. If I am sitting in a parking lot running the engine, driving in the city or even on the highway under 65 mph I have no issues. As soon as I go above 65 it starts getting hot. I replaced the heater core last year, and in the last couple weeks I replaced the thermostat, water pump and fan clutch. What could be causing this problem? I have never had an car that only overheated while driving on the highway. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Victor

First of all are you sure the truck is overheating or the gauge just reads high?
If you are referring to the engine overheating and you've replaced all that you stated above, I would replace the gauge itself and or the sending unit. Being that it reads hot when on the hiway w/the alternator cranking; a faulty gauge would give you an inaccurate reading or crazier still you may have the wires crossed w/the oil pressure gauge.

The only gauge I have for the temp is the temp gauge on the dash. It usually sits just to the cool side of halfway or the 12 o'clock position. When I go over 65 it climbs to almost the 1 o'clock position. If I turn the heat on it almost immediately starts to drop the temp to half way or just below half way.
