my 07 st hemi has been in and out of the stealership for a few months now. my truck will not shift into 5th without accel to 120km then off the pedal and lightly back on. they have installed a new torque converter and rebuilt the tranny. still same issue. and i have noticed that they also updated my mds system to enguage later and less frequently (there is a tsb about this i have read over and over again) the reason why i want the mds update undone is because i was getting over 20mpg with it the way it was and now i am lucky to hit 16mpg. has anyone actually watched or listened to see what gear your in at highway speeds or does anyone know the factory shift points??

also my st did not come with factory fog lights and i want to install some. i have the new switch installed and hear and also read that they dealer has to enable it i have asked them to do so and they say they cant therefor cannot just turn the feature on. the wire is pre installed in my truck all i did was install a new headlight switch with the push foglight feature. can anyone help?

You must install the fog lamps, the bezels, the wire harness, and the switch. I know guys who have had the dealer reprogram to make them function. With all the runaround you seem to have gotten, it might be time to find a new shop.

 

Yeah it is a shame about the stealerships. Don't they know we pay their bills? Dont they know we love the brand more than they do? They only care about the cash. Oh well Humans, Ill tell ya??? Haha

 

I would imagine they could install an older tune with the StarScan, but good luck getting them to do it.

As far as the fog lights, it's an option on the StarScan, have seen it with my own eyes...

 

Nobody really uses start scan anymore they use a star mobile and requires a laptop to operate it. Once I think they flash it thats it, cause when u hook it up only the new updates pop up nothing old.
