I have a 2003 1500 5.7L Hemi. Whenever I turn my truck off and exit the cab, the 3rd brake light on the cab is still on. Even if I turn my headlights off, the light still shines. However, after a few minutes (5-10) it shuts off. Any suggestions? Not a huge deal, but it's still really annoying.

 

Has anyone changed any bulbs in it lately? It could be that one of the cargo bulbs is in the wrong spot and the switch is on. Does it come back on and stay on when you start the truck back up? What about your regular brake lights? Do they stay lit when the 3rd light is on as well? If so it could be the switch on the brake pedal malfunctioning.

 

Havent changed the bulbs in it since I got it a year ago. The light comes back on and is functional when I restart the truck. The rear brake lights operate totally normal.
