Stalls when taken out of gear!
Hello,
I have an 02 1500 3.7, has 160,000 miles on it. Recently the truck started stalling and check light came on, code was for a small evap leak I found and fixed the leak no more light but continues to stall. I replaced three vaccum hoses, the IAC and the upstream O2 sensor and no luck. The comp. isn't pulling anymore codes. If I brake in gear (5 speed) the truck slows normally however, as soon as I engage the clutch and take it out of gear the truck rapidly loses RPM's and dies. Any suggestions?

I tried resetting the PCM after the replacement of the IAC and the O2 sensor no luck. I forgot to mention that I thoroughly cleaned the throttle body, had it smoke tested for vac. leaks. I am not sure what you mean by grounding the throttle body???

I assume your TB is metal, if so...take at least 10 gage wire and run it from one of the TB bolts to the battery ground.
Wal Mart has a 49" mower battery cable that is perfect for this @ $6 .
Al ot of guys on here have done this and it's smoothed out rough idling, cured stalling issues and improved throttle response.
Try it....it can't hurt.
