I was under it the other day and where the hose connects to the trans cooler at the connector was loose. I'm not sure how to tighten it up or if it can even be tightened but maybe that's where my problem is

Here's a chart on temps, I was trying to find the other night for you.

Not that you're running too hot all the time, but you said at the loose connection you've had some leakage?? I assume you've already checked level and looked at color, sniffed for a burnt smell? Hopefully there hasn't been any debris sneaking in the line. Any debris in the fluid coming out on the stick?

Thanks pitbull. No I haven't been able to do those things as I am working so much but the next time I get the chance I'll check it out. And I don't believe that any debris has been sneaking in. there is just residue on that connector at the hose but nothing actually dripping from what I can see. How do you tighten the connector on the hose for the cooler?

Not sure if those fittings can be tightened. I replaced both lines when I had a little leak, and I don't remember why I changed both, I wonder if they were sold as a set.

Anyway, do some searching or maybe someone will chime in with some more mechanical experience on cooler lines.

I'm just gonna replace them. I checked the oil it seems fine. Doesn't smell burnt and no debris. I was looking more at it and i noticed that my LT headers are pretty close to the pan and the lines to the cooler so maybe thats why im seeing a temp increase also. Those things get hot and they are not coated. I hope a deeper pan and a bigger cooler helps.
