Default Rear end trouble????

I know there are probably other posts on this subject, so please direct me if you can. I have a 2003 Dodge Ram 4x4 Hemi with about 170,000 miles on it and I am getting what I feel is a shudder and it feels like it is coming from the rear end. A shuddering is the only way I can describe it. It happens when I leave a stop and also when backing up. It does not happen all the time either. At the end of February I had the gear oil changed and some seals replaced.
Has anyone experienced this problem? Could it be the tranny? Let me know if you need any other information and I will post as soon as I can.
Thanks for the help.

Shuddering could also be the torque converter. How's the tranny fluid?

I believe it is LSD and we are contacting the garage today to find out exactly what they used and we will keep you posted. We also checked the tranny fluid and it seems just fine. I just don't want to get hung up some place and really mess things things up in the rear. The truck is getting old and maybe it is time for a new one. Let me know if you have any other suggestions on what may be wrong, but I also think it has to be something in the rear (pumpkin).
Talk later. Thanks!!

Might also be the carrier bearing on the drive shaft.
