Exclamation Help! Truck stalled but starts when I ....

So driving home from work today going over a bumpy road my truck starting bucking and died.. It did this before a year ago and I kind of forgot about it ..

This time it wouldn't start .. I then slammed the door and it tried to trun over... then I hit the steering wheel and it would start to turn over and would run until I hit the wheel again .. It seemed sometime it would die when I would turn the wheel or slammed the door again.

I took the plastic around the column apart and checked all the connectors and all seemed ok .. I reseated all of them and tapped them to see if I could tell where the problem is ..

Has anyone seen this problem or have any ideas?

I am thinking a short of some sort or a bad ignition switch ..

I need this for work this week .. Any help would be very much appreciated !!

I believe I have found it .. There is a bundle of wires that go the the "computer" on the firewall under the hood. It looks like they were laying on the air conditioner line and rubbed throught insulation. That is what has been causing my on and off erratic stalling over the last few years.

I wish I would have seen this before I tore apart my column lol
