Where to run Wire threw Firewall?
Hi everyone! First post here, so don't be too harsh if this is somewhere else please...
But I just bought my grandpa some KC Daylighters 6 inch 100 watt, long range lights for his truck.
We were looking for the best spot to run a wire threw the firewall without drilling if possible...
EDIT: also will be installing them behind the grill, help in mounting would be great as well, although I think we are going to mount them off of the two bolts on each side of the front lower cross member.
He has a 2006 5.7 Quad Cab auto seen behind my first car that is totalled now

Pics would be great, or suggestions or links or whatever! Thanks!

To the right just above the steering colum(I think) is a black plastic cover with a bolt holding it on. I took that off, drilled out a hole, installed a wire grommet and that is where I run all of my wires. The firewall has an oval hole I think behind it.
Stereo shops poke a hole in your steering colum firewall boot OR the firewall boot that runs the wires into your cab. I could easily take the wires out and epoxy a plastic cover over the hole I made on this cover. I dont even remember what it does if anything?? I'd rather drill out like I did than poke into boots and possibly short out wires.
