Superchips '03 4.7 Tow or 87 Perf Tune?

Since I've been towing our travel trailer a little more often (at least once a month), I've been debating on setting the tow tune or put the 87 perf tune on the truck. It's an '03 so there are not trans shift tunes, just engine. I basically have to kill chickens to get this thing to tune so once I get it to tune, it's probably going to stay that way for a while. I use the truck as a daily driver and thought of putting the tow tune on there, but what do you all think?

I use 91 tune with 93 gas and tow all the time. That style is what I'd reccomend you doing so you can get the most when not towing. Tune 87 and fill w/89 etc.
Just use your O/D off or tow/haul. I forget which you have, but newer ones have both.
I do have increaded shift points and easier downshift times, but you should be fine with just increased shift points. Too bad you have to mash the gas to downshift....

Yeah, I just have OD on/off. Works well enough. I actually use it all of the time so I'm pretty in control when I tow. I've read that tow mode, although it doesn't increase peak HP, that it has a broader power band. I'm not sure if that's accurate or not. My main concern is towing, I'm happy with it otherwise as a daily.

I never "pang" before towing with stock so looks like 87 tune it is! I'll just drop 89 in it while towing. Yeah, that should do it ...
