Has anyone ever replaced the axle seals in a 2003 2500HD 4x4 5.7 I believe the axle in questions is an AAM 9.25 . It failed inspection the other day due to ball joints. They didn't seem bad to me but I'm replacing them anyway so I can get it passed. Anyway... while I have this thing all apart it would be a good time to do pinion seal (which is leaking) and axle seals. I know they are nearer the carrier bearings... so am I looking at taking this carrier out to get the seals replaced? There has to be previous threads about this but I couldn't find any..... any help would be much appreciated.

Get the FSM from weed free it will give a batter idea. Your right on track for the seals. You should also replace the u-joints on your axles while your there---with greasables, I already did mine, You may want to approach the bearing hubs also.
They can be a real PIA to get out
