Ok so ive looked through the sticky about rim sizes and backspacing but im still confused about this backspacing thing.
Here's my issue. My friend wants to sell me his Four Moto Metal 17" wheels 5x5.5 12mm offset. I have brand new 165/70r17 tires on now and im trying to find out if they will be wide enough on the new rim. Im pretty sure its a stupid question but im just gonna put it out there.

You didn't say the width of the rim. You typed 165 but I'm assuming you meant 265, and it should fit without issue.

Yea I ment 265. Thanks, I thought so but i wasn't sure because he doesnt know the backspacing just the offset and that threw me off. I dont think the backspace will be a problem anyway

If you're only planning on running a 265 you wouldn't have an issue at all
