i feel a little more get up, but nothing to write home about. It's more of a mental thing knowing that the fan won't drag as much. It probably didn't really save a lot of power but it was cheap enough to give it a shot.

Good Job!!!

I did mine very similar except used the probe that came with the Flex-a-Lite kit. Might swap it out some day. The flex fan pulls 3300 rpm and pulls only 18 amps and with a 180* thermostat I NEVER see the temp needle go much past about 10 o'clock on the temp gauge even when pulling about 7000 lbs...

What relay kit did you buy? Also, how do you program it so it turns on and off at a certain temp?

You can use a Hayden 3647 controller that cuts on at 180* and is adjustable

Two reasons.

1) it allows you to keep the coolant and windshield washer bottles and
2) it helps funnel air

If it is directed to me, I've only ever used the Ford Taurus fan so i can't speak on this ebay fan

Cool Cooling Fan sensor preset too low

You are correct that fan will run continuosly, as engine coolant will stay above 185 degrees if your stock t-stat is 195 degree..you need sensor that has fan engage at 210-215 (like the fan clutch did) and then go off at approx. 195 for best fuel economy and less strain on electrical system.
.When your driving (not towing) fan should not come at all,,this will also give you mpg increase..Since A/C has its own fan,,, your engine cooling system temps will flucuate much less often. this will give you more mpg's, since less engine heat results in longer engine life,,,the exception to this is also to keep your foot out of throttle now that you've added about 12-15 more hp from no fan blades turning..
.The other engine "must-do" is Gibson shorty headers. easy install.. these will keep engine running cooler and increase hp by scavaging exhaust faster. no need to replace complete exhaust on hemi engine "unless" you like loud noises.. I live in Phoenix,az..nuff said..cya
