2001 into 2002 46re tranny swap

A friend of mine is installing a tranny out of a 2001 ram 4x4 into my 2002. The wire harness has a 5 wire connector, the tranny has a 3 wire. Is there an adapter or does something else have to be done. Thanks for any help guys.
