My AC had been making a noise like the bearing were going out, so it was no surprise when it seized up on me, at a busy intersection.. But hey im a florida girl its hot and i was gonna ride it out as long as i could, cuz the ac blew cold! Anyways when it siezed up I had the bright idea of hitting the clutch pulley with a screw driver an it started working again, and got me home..
Long story short, I need a quick cheap fix, i found a ac clutch bearing at autozone but cant find anywhere where anyone has replaced one.. and dodge says they dont sell bypass pulleys or bypass belts.. Will it freely spin if i unhook the wire harness like i read in another post? I need my little beast back on the road, this driving a little camery aint cutting it!! l0l

 

You can download the Service Manual from the links in my signature to tell you how to take apart and rebuild it but you might just be better buying a new or used compressor.
