Default No ac over 1600 rpms

Couple weeks ago my battery went dead replaced it. And after that I have no ac over 1600 Rpms. We drained it pulled vacuum filled. Unplugged battery to reset the computer over night. Still no problems

At idle it's fine. My pressures seem to be good. I havnt checked them above idle. But as I sit here with the truck in park rev and hold to 2500 Rpms ac is working. Actully colder than idle.

Welcome to the site but this has to be the worse description Ive ever read. Where are you from?

You drained what and filled what?

You said still no problems but Im guessing you do have problems?

You said in with the truck in Park and you hold it above 2500rpms the AC is working.

We drained the ac system. And filled it back with freon yes with the correct amount
Had no problems until the battery went dead and we had to replace it. Shreveport la. It's a pain to type on my iPhone in here when it likes to correct things

If I'm driving down the road under 1600 Rpms it blows hot air.
But I did notice today when I was sitting in the truck ac was working if I was in park at higher rpms

LOL....iPhone. I should have known. Well welcome to the site and thanks for clarifying.

Sounds to me like your AC condensor fan isnt working at it should. At high speeds when driving the AC "feels" like it is working because enough air is coming through the grill to cool things off. At slow speeds there is not enough air.

Lots of guys have this issue and there are a lot of threads on it. However, most do not notice it until they go to use their AC

You really need to get off that iphone or use voice to text.

So jack the rear off the ground and support it with jack stand, chock the front wheels just in case and put it in drive and see if the fan quits or the compressor quits or something else

Ok I jacked the truck up. Brought it up to 2000 Rpms. And compressor kicks off. The fan stays on.
