I have 2005 ram 1500. Will adding a leaf spring add height ?? And how much ??

 

Im going to be Cranking the torsion bars a bit and would like to bring rear up a bit too. Will adding a leaf spring add to my load capabilities?? Make it a ""Heavy Half ""

 

Yes it will add a little bit of height but not a lot but why bring the back up if your cranking torsion bars that will make it still unlevel the front sits lower so by cranking torsion bars you will then make the truck more level but by adding height to the back you then make it unlevel unless that's what your going for....

 

Load Leveler shocks might be a better bet. I haven't read too good of things about add a leafs

 

Add a Leafs will usually add about an inch. They are GREAT if you always have a load in the bed but suck ***** when the bed is empty, making for a VERY stiff riding truck.

If you want a slight lift in the rear and an increase in capacity WITHOUT adversely effecting the ride quality, bag it...

 

Well I'm gonna also be gettin a tidy tank so I can buy my (Cheaper)gas in Alberta. Cause I live in BC and work in Alberta. So would like the extra Load capabilities. And also I don't really like the "Level" look. I want the nose to be a little lower
