Default Truck cap question

I need a fairly quick answer on this if anyone knows for sure. I have a chance to get a solid fiberglass truck cap for a shortbed Dodge Ram. By solid, I mean that it has no side windows. The thing is, my truck is an '02 Ram 4 door, and the truck that the cap is coming off of is a '99 maybe, possibly a 2000 but the older style.

Will that cap fit my truck? I know that the '02 has a slight curve at the front of the bed, but what I don't know is the 2nd Gen trucks whether the bed is straight or curved also.

I found it on CL and the guy is only wanting $200 for it, hence the reason I need to find out rather quickly.

TIA guys!!!!

If you know the make of the topper, go to thier website and use thier web site to find pics of the brand of the topper on dodge trucks, my topper on my 06 Ram 2500 will fit on a 2nd gen ram. ( Apex range rider)

One bit of advice, don't buy a topper that uses pop rivets to attactch the door brackets ( prop rods) to the door frame ( esp if it is a glass door ) over time the rivets wear out and your used topper is a expensive fix. ( 750.00 cdn to replace a glass door on a 700.00 used topper)

Yeah I've done a little research since I just got a cover. Seems like it depends on the manufacturer. Some seem to only fit specific gen's of rams and others are more general. Cyclones got it right, check the manufacturer website.
