Default Gas tank drop...how do I do it?

Searched high and low for a DIY on this one, but couldnt find it so looking for an assist here. Truck died on me on the way home from work, felt like it couldnt get enough gas to get up and go, then just died. She wants to start, just no fuel getting through. I'm a 1-man show, so can't just take the bed off like many posts here suggest. Can anyone post a link on how to drop the tank and any tips to avoid completely messing up the job please?

As background, I've put in a new air filter, changed plugs, put on a new exhaust manifold gasket, removed and cleaned out TB, flushed tranny and rear differential, but problem persisted but truck still ran. Now that she's dead, next step is to look at the fuel pump/filter and vac lines down there to see what has failed. Oh, and it's pi$$ing rain out, so I can't wait to get at THIS job.

Here ya go, a nice DIY fuel tank drop. Should be fairly easy, just drive er till its nice and empty so you don't have 20 gallons of fuel dropping on your chest.

thank you! I thought after 190 people had looked at the post without posting an opinion or a link, that it couldnt be done!

Looks pretty easy, need to lift the rear end of the truck up on some ramps and take off that tank!

One thing to add to that is to take a floor jack with a 2x4 or 2x6 and use it to mount under the tank. Jack it up just enough so it takes the pressure or the weight of the tank and then drop the tank brackets. Then use the jack to lower the tank. Put it back up the same way. If you're a one man show, this will help a lot
