Default Return front to stock ride height?

i am thinking of putting my front end back to the stock ride height. i have a leveling kit on it, it has been on for 65k miles. it has been tough on my balljoints as posted in common issues thread. to do this would i have to get stock torsen keys? i would still like the level look so i would most likely do a drop shackle in the back and possibly a simple air bag spring helper if necessary for towing. what do you guys think? thanks mike

If you drop the rear you might not like what will somewhat look like a mild lowered truck compared to what everyone else has around. Don't know if it'll help you at all but if you look at my sig pic you can see that having 1.5" less clearance between the wheel well and the tire makes a huge visual impact. I've parked next to lots of stock 4x4's and my neighbor's f250 4x4 and the top of the tailgate is very close to being the same height (before I drop the 5'er on it!). They just look a lot higher than mine because my front end is 2" lower. I don't have air bags on so the 1500# pin almost takes me down to level (nose is about 1/2" lower than rear) which would be similar to what you'd be left with. The 5'er throws the scale of the pic out a bit but that is a completely stock look with equivalent 1.5" drop in the rear.

yeah i would like the level look without a front leveling kit. i just did my upper ball joints and about to do my lowers. i do not want to put more stress on them than need be. i was thinking if i went back to stock front ride height and them lower the back to level it off it may be a nice look. but i do not want it to look to lowered. i have stock 20" rims with 33's on it and am about to put on 17" rims with 33" tires. not sure how that would look. i know what you mean when the back is lower than the front. with my leveled setup now if i tow my trailer with a good load on it the front is higher than the rear even with the bulk of the weight over my trailer axles.
