Default Breaking wires in rear doors

I was just at an Audio installation place, and I was told by one of the installers that the rear wiring harness for the rear doors breaks inside and creates loss of power to the rear components ie, speakers, PDL, PW. He says it is a common Dodge Ram issue on our 3rd Gen trucks, he sees it a lot as the trucks come in for installs. Question is has anyone inquired about a recall for said item? If not we need to get them to look into it, maybe use different wires that don't get brittle and break. Please comment.

It's not just a Ram thing, I had a Ford truck in the mid '90s did it. Since then, I pick up some cheap, flexible wire loom and do all my doors. Yeah the loom gets beat up and has to be replaced about once a year - but at $3 for 6' of it and the fact you use about 2" per door - it's good, cheap preventative insurance...

Ive never had any issues in MY truck but when I did Robbs system down in Tallahassee he had broken wires in his doors. They were easy to repair.
