I had some of the same problems. Replaced both front end u-joints over the first year of me having the truck. Not 2 months after the 2nd replacements, wheelbearing seized, and absolutely rurnt the whole hub assembly. I bought a dyna-trac free spin conversion kit and finally got it in, and LOVE it. if the u-joints keep wearing out, watch out for wheel bearings to follow soon after. Major problem with the 06's.

My mecanic never wants to see a dodge again, he had a hell off a time un pressing and taking apart the front drive train componants on my truck, I have pics posted under my user name, one wheal bearing hub was rusted so bad the axle they had to beat the sob off.

Not much has changged on the new dodge HD trucks, but you do get a bolt with a cotter pin under the left drag link, where as 06 Dodge Ram 2500 never had this stock ...

Only saving grace with dodge HD trucks is they don't catch on fire, abought a month ago I saw a Ford HD truck all lit up on the deer foot north (calf robe bridge) horn honking on head lights blinking, off late I have seen 2012 Ford super dutys in tow with cabs all burnt up.

Well if It don't burn up and the drag links don't pop off, only leaves one othier domostic brand got a bail out......
