Motor swap help 4.7 - 5.7L ?

I have a 2004 short base 1500 4x4 with 4.7 manual ... got a chance at a 2006 5.7 liter that had auto tranny ... will this bolt into my 04 and will the computer work with my manual tranny ? would i need a different flywheel ? thanks for any help , done some reading but can't find the right answers ... if i don't figure this out i am gonna loose out on the 100 K 5.7 deal !

Will bolt into your 04 (it was a factory option). You will need hemi flywheel. Should bolt to your manual trans. What you can do is custom tune a 4.7 PCM with parameters for a 5.7 (this has been done). You will also need a manual TB if you aren't converting to the fly-by-wire. Only 2500 hemis were available with a manual trans. There are several people all over who have done this swap.

They have the same bolt pattern, but you probably don't want to put a hemi in front of that nv3500 due to its torque rating. You would need a different flywheel and clutch, etc. A 6sp getrag will work, although some will tell you it's not quite capable enough either. I will be putting one behind my hemi one of these days.
Yes, you'll need a pcm. 2006 not the best retrofit for your 2004 truck. Do a search on this forum and some of the others, I think you'll find most of your answers.
