I have an 08 Ram 1500 4.7 Recently, after traveling approximately 100 miles with the cruise set, the truck began to surge then lost all power. I accelerated, but the truck slowed down and the engine did not rev up. I stopped on the side of the road and shut the engine off. After a couple of minutes, I started the truck and began driving again. I set the cruise and after approximately 5 miles, it occurred again. There were no warning lights and after checking wiring, fuses, etc., I found no problems. I then drove the rest of the trip (200 miles) without the cruise and had no problems. Does anyone know what may have caused this?

 

Welcome to the site. Ive got zero idea but if it were a fluke that randomly occurred thats one thing. But most guy who have issues with cruise find it in the ABS sensors in the wheel hub(s)
