any one hear of aero turbine mufflers? if so, what is your opinion of the AT3030 muffler on a '04 hemi.

 

Sounds like crap on a turbo k-car. Heard they are real loud on the Hemi too.

 

As I recall there is a sound clip of it under various conditions on a hemi at their website (and on some other trucks). The hemi was the only one on which I thought they sounded okay. They look about like a glorified glass-pack, though the company hypes their "unique" design. May be, who knows, but if I were interested I'd simply get the longest glass-packs I could fit on it and go.

I have the matching resonator placed before the AT3030 on my 5.9L. Sounds awesome.

My father-in-law put one on his 04 Hemi - left the factory resonator on - barely got any louder. Just sounds like a throatier sewing machine...

Really woke up my engine - but if you like - stay with the restrictive quiet exhaust.

I had an aeroturbine with an 2002 F250 V10. A lot of money for a muffler. Better spend it on a complete CAT BACK system or just buy a well known muffler;gibson, borla, etc. Improvements in mpgs were not there, and sure it made noise. So what. They all do.

I had an AT 3030 installed on my '04 Hemi about 2 weeks ago and love the new sound. It's quiet at idle but wakes up when you put your foot to the floor. I would recommend keeping the factory resonator if you choose the AT. There are a ton of members on dtw with the AT and I haven't heard a negative comment yet. You can buy one online from performancecombos for about $165 delivered.
