Default Grease on rear wheel

Hey All -

I've searched the forum for this, but I'm sure if I'm using the right terminology to find what I'm looking for.

The other day, I noticed a bunch of grease on the inside of my rear passenger side wheel/rim. What's the cause of this and is it something a DIY-er can do themselves?

TIA

Sounds like an axle seal. If so, rear differential will have to come apart a bit, axles pulled out. New seals installed and fluid change.

Thanks Dogman, that's what I was looking for. Seems a little over my head. To the shop it'll go.
