Default 04 1500 Stopped Pulling Under Load

I recently purchased a 04 1500 5.7Hemi 4x4. Got rid of my 3500. It has 85k on it. I have been driving it for about 3 weeks with no issues. Last night I was pulling the boat to the lake and started up some hills. When I got to the top of the hills it wouldnt go over 4000 rpm with the peddle to the floor. The tack was pretty much just bouncing. A few times it would bounce around 2500rpm. I didnt really have a miss that I could hear. I had the windows up at the time. The second time it did it I turned OD off and the problem was still there. When I was on at type of straight stretch no problems at all. No problems pulling the boat out of the water. No problems on the way home. Any suggestions?

I was thinking fuel flow or bad fuel problem, exhaust stopped up, or ECM gremlin. I really dont think it is a tranny problem unless it is electrical.

I always heard you were supposed to tow with OD off in the first place.

You are supposed to tow with the OD off.

TO the OP: You bought a used truck, what did you do maintenance wise are yo y bought it? Surely you didnt take the owners/dealers word that it had been properly maintained did you?
