At rest shifting into drive
Proud owner of a 2006 dodge ram mega 4x4. I have had it 4 weeks now but recently I have noticed that especially if my truck sits on a hill (my drive way) it will take a while to go into Drive when I shift to it. After it has warmed up and drive around the hesitation isnt that much. Should I be worried about this?
I'd be a little concerned until I find no reason to be concerned. Have you checked the tranny fluid level and color? If it's low, you should add some and then check for leaks.
You say you have noticed it recently. Does that mean it wasn't doing it before or you didn't notice it before? And how long is a while?

I think I read in the owner's manual sometimes the torque converter can partially drain itself if sitting too long. They say it will cause the symptom you're noting until it refills itself. If I find what I was reading I'll post it. Just going from memory for now...
For what it's worth I just looked in the book on page 213 in the torque converter section. Says it can be normal and will refill itself within 5 seconds of putting it into a gear.
