I got the answer!!!! I got the answer!!!! Trade it in for a Hemi!!!

j/k

In all seriousness call Summit. They can do a search for you. It takes a couple of days but I remember someone else looking for a less than popular part and they found it for them. I think it was Summit, maybe it was Jegs. Trying calling a couple places like that though.

I love the 3.7l, but I have looked around also for different things and come up dry. What do you headers for...I fish tailed mine coming home today and the ground was not even wet. I thought I was going to go for my first spin in the truck...hehe
But plz if you find anything out do let us other lowly 3.7 owners know. Hemi...where...not in my truck

This is what I was talking about.

If you really want some decent power, definitely consider trading your current Ram in. If you lose money, well, you live and learn. Just be sure to not repeat the same mistake twice! If you don't want to trade it in, then just appreciate it for what it is and chalk one up to experience.

I dont think it is wrong to want a little more power/performance/mileage out of your motor. There might have been some financial restraints on the original purchase. Then again I am hoping the V-6 gets a lot better mileage than either v-8. You can probably get a good deal of 'pep' by some simple upgrades, intake-muffler, maybe headers I would think they are out there. The 3.7 has been around for a while. Might want to check some of the sport truck stores.

u really shouldnt have posted that haha. i was wanting something everyone else dont have thats why i am wanting to bag it on 24"s now a supercharged V6 bagged ram on 24"s would be something really different hmmmmm. might have to forget about the jet chip and get me a supercharger and go a lil smaller with the stereo. u got me thinking now thats not right haha. ya i am gettin 16.6 in town with my 3.7 with 107 pound a peice wheel and tire combo plus i got the truck for 4 grand with the trade in and its only got 36,000 on it. right now i only got a small 2000 watt stereo k&n gen 2 intake system and my 24"s but more is coming everyday. thefastman just told me not to get the jet thing so i think ima trust him and get his throttle body and some exhaust if i can find something that sounds decent and not like my girls civic

If all else fails (and I cannot believe it will), a truly competent exhaust shop should be able to fab a set of headers. Not that big a deal for a decent welder. Flanges can be cut efficiently with a plasma cutter using an old pair of stock headers for patterns.

How do you think we used to do it (and some of us still do on occasion)?

All the best.

i called 2 places here local about finding or making me some headers and they couldnt figure out why i would want them for a V6. i just think if they are going to be like that they dont need my money. im ordering the throttle body this thursday and then i might still get that jet chip. even though i was told it is junk and wouldnt work for long

I'm glad to hear that you are keeping your truck. The only way I see you making really high HP is with the S/C and then you might get up towards that of the Hemi. I'm not trying to rain on your parade, I'm just trying to point out that you are going to be sinking a lot of money into a project to make it go faster when you can just save the money for one with a bigger motor.

That being said, kudos to you for doing something different. If you are trying to go with a show truck, perhaps interior mods/sound is the way to go instead of putting money into the motor.

Whatever you decide to do, the best of luck.
