Can I eliminate tail light circuit boards for flatbed?
Can I eliminate tail light circuit boards if I do a flatbed conversion. I would like to use LED trailer lights on a flatbed but will the lamp out chime go crazy with the circuit board gone and the new lights hardwired in? Or would I be able to eliminate the boards altogether and wire the bed lights into my 7-pin trailer hook up without getting lamp out warnings?
Anybody ever done this.

The circuit boards are nothing fancy, so yes, you can do without and splice in whatever lights you want on the wiring.
The lampout light will chime with nothing hooked up, so you cannot go that route.
The lampout light will also chime with LED's hooked up without the use of load resistors to simulate the power consumption of halogen bulbs. You can buy load resistors online. I think most use the same 6ohm 50w resistors for the tails as they do when going to HID heads. One side t's off power wire and other end goes directly to ground. The 50w rating is max rating, not what it actually consumes, just FYI, so you could get away with a 30W one as well but it'll run hotter.
