Default tire and wheel help?

I'm looking to upgrade my wheels and tires. currently 2007 ram quad cab slt with the 20'' wheels. I would like to get a set of the xd monsters. What I'm not sure of is the best wheel and tire size combo without having to get a lift or levelers. I would like a more aggressive tire like the nitto trail grapplers or toyo open country. Something slightly larger than the stock 275/60/20 to fill the wheel well a little more. I appreciate the help!

First off, read the tire and wheel sticky on this forum.

A level alone would open you up to 35" tires all around. You need minimum 17" rims and possibly a negative offset with 4.5" or better backspacing to handle wider tires. With no level, you are probably looking at 285/70/17's. Just my opinion, but trucks with more aggressive wheel/tire combos look much better with little or no rake (leveled).

Mine is leveled only, no lift, and i am running 305/70/17's on rims with -12mm offset and 4.5" backspace. And they fit just fine.
