4 wheel drive issues

I have an 06 power wagon. When the truck is in 4 hi its making a loud popping or banging sound when I get on the gas really hard. Last time truck was in 4 wheel was this past winter and it worked perfect. I'm thinking it may be the u-joints on the front drive shaft. Anybody got any ideas on what it may be?
