Should be good to go other than extra gas money when running highway speeds unloaded if you don't run oversized tires ... But definately worth it for towing, you won't regret it.

I think you are refering to the fact that the '06 and up models of the 1500 need to be trimmed out...... I think. Hammer correct us here! Lol!

I figured that as well when they switched over to coil sprung front ends. I dont really know why the front diff would change just from torsion bar to coil sprung but thats probably the reason.

X2, Hammer you need to log in, reply to my PM and get in here lol. I dont like to give out info unless im 100% on it.

There's a notch in the back that needs to be ground down slightly but only if adding an aftermarket LSD. Otherwise the gears will fit with no problem...

Theres very limited options (like 1 or 2) for a rear locker but there's not front locker option for the 1500s

I don't know how you could lock (or even LSD) the front, it's got CV joints, no axle.

Actually there are a lot of options for the rear. Just off the top of my head I can think of Auburn, Detroit Trutrac, Detroit Locker, PowerTraxx, Eaton LSD and a few spools.

Where the selection sucks is that nobody makes a selectable locker for the AAM 9.25" rear end...

They were asking about lockers, not LSDs. I know there are plenty of options for LSDs lol

I thought there were plenty of IFS trucks that have an option for an lsd up front or a selectable locker up front?
