Default Gear question

Is the the gear set for our trucks that is listed as a 3.92 actually 3.90? The only part number I can find for a 9.25" rear is listed as chy925390 which is listed as a 3.90.

So basically all these aftermarket gear companies make replacement gears for all the ratios for our truck except no one makes a 3.92:1 set? They all instead make a 3.90:1 set?

I thought that, but they make 3.55 and 3.21s. A few of the gear companies call there 3.90s, replacements for Dodge 3.90s. I also could have swarn I read an old thread here were someone had to get replacement 3.92s from Dodge and when they came in and he took them home the box said 3.90.

I would just call whatever company you're planning to order from and ask them because i can tell you with 120% certainty that on my build sheet it says I have 3.92 rear end

I will do that for sure.
From what I have been reading it seems as though even if they are 3.92s, 3.90s can be run in there place with no problems.
