Default 2005 Ram 1500 electric brake issues

Hey guys, first post here. Just got a used 2005 1500 with 50k on it and its awesome! I am going to be towing about a 7000lb trailer and am trying to install a Tekonsha 90195 P3 Electronic Brake Control and I am having a bit of an issue. I have a factory installed tow package with a 7 pin and 4 pin connector in the rear with a factroy hitch, but when I go to hook up the controller I have no blue plug above the ECU next to the brake pedal. I have read extensively that this plug is included regardless of package or model but it seems like I must just be really lucky . Is there a factory dongle that i can get that will plug in to the ecu somewhere that will give me this holy grail of electric brake controller plugs or am i just screwed and have to wire it by hand? any help would be greatly appreciated.

Sometimes they hide that wire harness. It took me about 5 min to find it. They tucked it up behind the main wiring harness. Check again it should be there.

Are you sure that you are looking in the right place. Its in the upper left by the emergency brake. If its not there then I would question whether you really have a factory installed setup. If you don't have one there is instruction to wire it I believe on etrailer.com.

Mine was buried up in that corner behind another harness. Was scratching my head saying wtf for a day before I found it. Mine is also a 2005.

Default Found it!

Thanks so much guys! It was crammed up behind the firewall material, totally hidden! I was fishing around behind the ecu with my scope camera and shoved it behind the insulation on the firewall and there it was! Well, I guess I know what to expect from MOPAR from here on out! I had similar good times with my 87 Jeep Grand Wagoneer. That thing had little goodies hidden all over it that should have been easy to access.
