by the firewall flexing I mean that under braking where the master cylinder is mounted, you might have some flex happening with what the master cylinder is mounted to....?

I know Subaru's have that problem but not sure about Rams... was just a fleeting thought.

But your problem seems like an issue I had on an old truck with a wheel bearing problem....
