Well if you aren't looking for diy'er help maybe you're asking in the wrong place and should take it to the dealer.

Well thats off to the wrong start-

I guess in a rush to make it short - I worded it poorly.

I am looking at a 2006 ram with a hemi - runs good but is throwing code P0004.
I can see the code defination, I am finding many a helpful list of codes with only their definations BUT I cannot find any system/circuit descriptions or troubleshooting trees. not even a wiring diagram that would apply to the issue (P0004)... nothing to get me pointed in the right direction.

Any experiance appreciated - or where to look for more info on the code

TIA

Kev2-----I did a search in my 2005 fsm fo that specific dtc, and I get totally nothing in over 8000 pages, I then googles it specific to dodge, and I get one reporting back in OUR forum in the diesel section about high volume. I can only guess at this point that it may be related to the fuel regulator, which is mounted on the gas tank and is integral to the pump and filter (one unit basically). You might try conecting a fuel pressure guage to the fuel rail and check to see that your fuel pressure is correct. Beyonf that, I'm at a loss-----maybe one of the other guys has run across it-------Good Luck

Please post back if you get this figured out----I've never seen this one on the gas forum before.

From what I understand these are old carryover codes from pre obdii days. If you pulled this code with your tuner it could be nothing, or the tuner reading it wrong. I'd go have it scanned with a real scanner and see what comes up.

Agree:
Tech notes
The P0004 is an OBDII generic code, but almost none of the vehicle manufactures use it. If you are getting this code, make sure you are using the correct OBDII code scanner for your vehicle's make and model.
