On my 05 dodge was thinking of pulling off the tail lights and spraying
Under coating in the fenders. The quarters are rusting from the inside out.
Wondering if it might slow down the spreading of rust.what do you guys think?

Try to wire brush the scaly stuff off from inside and hit it with a rust encapsulator first.

Also if you have the post holes in your bed, you wont have all that much room to get in there.

wheres it rusting at? never heard of quarters on the bed rusting just fender wells, +1 on the rust encapsulator, por-15 or chassis saver the inner bed to make sure it wont spread, you can get undercoating guns with a flexible head and can fit those things anywhere, 3m rust fighter 2 is what we use at the body shop and it works for prevention not treatment.

sorry thats what i meant, lol. Yeah the fender wells. Where can i get por-15? Also down the would it be cheaper to buy a used box some where or get body work done. Guess it depends on the amount of damage.

yeah the body work is not cheap, depending on the extent of the damage. Most people find that a bed install would be cheaper and more satisfactory, the problem is locating one that is in good shape that isn't going to cost hundreds of $$ to ship. Us northern guys have a hard time finding them in good shape at a junkyard.
